  This is one of the oldest types of squash dating back to pre-Columbus times. Popular to the home grower for its ribbed and bell shaped rich yellow/orange fruit, it is easy to grow and great eating.

  When to Plant:

Zone 1: October - December

Zone 2: September - December

Zone 3: August - March

Zone 4: February - September

  Soil: Indifferent to a number of soil types but must be free-draining. Mix through well-rotted manure a week prior to planting. Soil pH Level 6.5 - 7.0

  Position: Like full sun and plenty of room.

  How to Plant: Propagate in individual seed cells.
